On the occasion of the third day of the League of Nations tournament, Portugal hosted the Czech Republic. Fernando Santos’ men started the match with confidence, building on their success (4-0) against Switzerland the day before. His teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo, achieved a second victory in the competition by beating the Czech Republic 2-0.
After a fairly balanced quarter of an hour, Portugal regained control of the match and increased their attacks on the opposing camp. Thanks to the pressure, the Seleção will open the scoring after half an hour of play thanks to a wonderful goal from Joao Cancelo sent by Bernardo Silva (1-0, 33). A few minutes later, the Manchester City midfielder was still on the job, this time to serve Gonzalo Guedes who cut the second half (2-0, 38th place). Returning from the locker room, Portugal managed to advance to the end of the match to top the group with 7 points.
