Los Angeles-based web3 agency launches Kollectiff Wombats in the Metaverse


Last week, The Wombats added their #1 album. Not suitable for the world– to their fifteen year career which has already spanned three of the top five Brits! In bigger news, the Wombat family announced today that they will also be meeting their metaverse fans for the first time with the help of leading Los Angeles-based web 3 agency Kollectiff.

This carbon negative collaboration will include the launch of 3,000 unique NFTs that will be ready for the Metaverse. The initiative will include a Metaverse-ready avatar and concert, exclusive access to the AMA, live audio performances, never-before-seen B-sides, rare memorabilia, VIP tickets, and more. This drop would be especially unique, as it would be completely carbon negative, ensuring that all of the mint’s carbon emissions are offset twenty times. The NFTs can be purchased/instrumented on the Wombats website for 0.07 ETH starting February 8th.

Although The Wombats are not the first squad to enter the metaverse, it is more than your traditional NFT where fans and game holders will have access to the Rubik’s Cube blockchain which will unlock a lot of exclusive utilities, unique to NFT holders. The NFTs will be ready to use the Metaverse – which means they are an avatar that can be used in the virtual sandbox world of decentralized games. All buyers will also receive unique blockchain carbon credits from Moss, the world’s largest environmental platform.

Kollectiff will send NFT carbon credit holders via AirDrop. Wombats wanted to make sure this project was good for the Earth since carbon emissions are a big factor in mining. This project not only offsets carbon emissions, but also makes it a carbon-negative NFT array. When someone hits the NFT in this group, the carbon credit will be purchased. Each mint produces 45 kilograms of carbon (about 135,000 kilograms in total), so this project will include the purchase of 3,000 tons of carbon offsets to make this campaign carbon negative.

After purchasing the NFT, fans will have access to the Rubik’s Cube Blockchain game at Wombat World. The game is similar to the classic Rubik’s Cube in which you have to solve on the blockchain to gain access to special features and events so that people can interact with the group. There will be “Ask Me Anything” live with the band, live audio performances, rare memorabilia, VIP tour tickets and more for collectibles owners. In addition, B parties that did not make the final album will be included as unlockable content in the Rubik’s Cube game.

In the final leg of their tour, the Wombats will take their show to the Metaverse. The Wombats will be the first to play a concert at the Metaverse Stadium at the Kollectiff Meta Stadium, modeled after the famous Brixton Academy in the UK, a venue dear to the Wombats.
